Our Story
I’ve been living in Wellington, New Zealand for over a decade, and during that time I built two homes for my family.
One challenge that kept coming up was curtains.
Finding something that felt right wasn’t easy — options were either highly customised with a complex process, or ready-made but not quite suited to the space. Getting the balance between quality, fit, and price often meant compromise.
If you’ve been through the same process, you’ll probably understand that feeling.
That experience stayed with me — and eventually led to the idea behind
Moku Curtain Studio:
a simpler, more considered way to bring well-made curtains into everyday homes.
Our Approach
We focus on doing one thing well — creating high-quality, minimal curtains that feel natural in New Zealand homes.
Instead of the traditional showroom model, we take a more streamlined approach.
With clear guidance, you can measure your own space and install the curtains yourself. By removing in-home consultations, installation services, and large retail overheads, we’re able to focus on the product itself — where quality matters most.
The result is made-to-measure curtains that are thoughtfully designed, well-made, and more accessible in price.
